CHART YOUR COURSE, SERVE YOUR PURPOSE: YOUR NEXT ADVENTURE STARTS HERE!
A gap year is historically a one-year program that helps you discover where God is taking you in life, and helps you get there. This is that.
But, a gap year is often at a campus location. Not at a local church. Northwest College is different.
You will engage with mentors, attend seminars, and gain hands-on experience to level up your skills and character traits for leadership in various ministry contexts, all within the context of the local church.
Partnered with cool churches and missional organizations, our program provides a supportive community for applying your learning, exploring new avenues, and connecting with people like you.

PRACTICE
YOUR JOURNEY, YOUR CURRICULUM. WHAT YOU'LL LEARN:
“I joined the program because I was juggling the idea of what I wanted to do next. I wasn't sure if God was calling me to ministry or not, but either way, I knew that being here would be a good step towards getting training and exploring that call on my life.”
Jordyn Miskiw, Student
"My goal in class is to get my students to be 'wowed' by the Bible over and over. I want them to learn to look at the text from different angles and catch things they never saw before. I want every part of the Scriptures to come alive for them!"
Dr. Joel Korytko, Instructor
"This program is built and functions as the deepest and most practical way we can help students explore their gifting, calling, and where God is leading them in their early stages of adulthood. I really do believe that this way of training and education can not only develop pastors and ministry workers, but leaders across a variety of spaces who will serve and impact the Kingdom of God with a deep love and commitment to the local church and the Spirit's work amongst the Body of Christ!"
Dan Steenson, Pastor
